Roadside Assistance with COTA Comprehensive Car Insurance
One of the key benefits of buying a COTA comprehensive car insurance policy is the roadside assistance membership that is included for as long as you hold the policy. Here we tell you more!
Roadside Assistance, Australia-wide*, 24/7
when you buy new COTA Comprehensive Car Insurance,
for as long as you hold the policy.
Allianz Global Assistance Roadside Assistance offers roadside assistance if you hold a current COTA Comprehensive Car Insurance policy. To access Allianz Global Assistance Roadside Assistance, simply call 1800 895 689 and have the following information ready:
- Your name and telephone number
- Your breakdown location (stating the nearest cross street where possible)
- Your vehicle registration number
- A description of the problem.
Once the customer service assistant receives your call, you will receive general advice about the operation of your vehicle. If your vehicle is immobilised, they will provide an over the phone diagnosis (where possible) to get your vehicle mobilised.
If the customer service assistant is unable to get your vehicle mobilised over the telephone, they will dispatch a service provider to assist in the following ways:
- Flat or faulty batteries
- Emergency fuel delivery
- Flat tyres
- Lost or locked keys
- Towing/transportation
- Accident co-ordination
- Emergency message relay.
Please note: the above incidents all have different terms and conditions, criteria and limits in regards to the roadside assistance, all of which are outlined here.
Once a roadside service provider has been called, it is important that you remain with your vehicle, if it is safe to do so. If unable to do so, please advise the customer service assistant at the time of the initial call.
In order to be eligible for a roadside assistance call out your vehicle must be a roadworthy, well-maintained vehicle
If your vehicle is not a roadworthy, well-maintained vehicle, a call-out may still be arranged for you, but this may be subject to an additional cost that you will be informed of at or after the time of the call-out.
